The number one question asked of Stardust is, "How did the band get started in this part of the business?" The Stardust band was created as an answer to two questions: "Why does a function/party band have to be substandard?" And, "Why should you settle for anything but the best on such an important occasion in your life? The answers are: it doesn't, and you shouldn't.
	Keith Kostick & Cecilia Colucci formed stardust in 1994 after discussing the idea for several years. At that time both performers were freelancing in the studios and clubs around Boston and also working with some of the "premier" bands in the area.
	Their plan was to create a "Super Band" by bringing together some of the most experienced and talented musicians in New England. That plan worked to perfection. Just by announcing its impressive personnel, Stardust had 30 dates on the books before the band played together for the first time! The rest is history as Stardust has grown into a popular attraction within the entertainment world. The Stardust Band now performs throughout the country, playing at many of the fine venues and hotels in the Boston area. Here are some of the differences that make us unique, and that we feel are important parts or our philosophy: This band is comprised of only full-time professional musicians - no weekend warriors. The band personnel does not change from engagement to engagement. All band personnel are members of the Boston Musicians Union. We believe that the music should be of "recording quality" and that the excitement, dancing energy, and general feel of the party are directly related to the quality and expertise of the band.
